The estate
A preserved and authentic place
You can wander along the paths and tracks and discover enchanting little spots.
An undergrowth that delights the woodpecker living there, thick bushes along the hedges that are the haunt of partridges, a carob tree that lets you enjoy the shade of its branches, myrtles, rockroses and lavender that perfume the sunniest parts of the estate with their woody fragrance, low dry stone walls that shelter snakes and lizards, not to mention the trees, shrubs and bushes that delight all the birds in the area.
Farming activity
From a sheep pasture to an orchard bursting with biodiversity.
What started out as sheep pasture has now become an orchard planted with over 500 trees (almond and olive trees for the most part, but also fruit trees), a vineyard, a vegetable garden, herbs and flowers - in short, an incredible variety of species on soil that is always covered with vegetation or mulch and regularly amended with manure and compost.
The first products from our estate find their place on our dining table: olives and olive oil, almonds, fruit, herbal teas, herbs and, of course, vegetables. We'll have to wait a little longer for the wine, but our neighbours produce some very good ones! Les premiers produits issus de notre domaine arrivent donc sur notre table : olives et huile d’olive, amandes, fruits, tisanes, aromatiques et bien sûr légumes. Pour le vin il faudra encore attendre un peu mais nos voisins en produisent de très bons !
Our growing methods are inspired by the knowledge of our ancestors and current discoveries. These methods respect wildlife and the environment, encouraging biodiversity.
Our animals are not kept in confinement and, for the most part, roam freely around the estate.
About us
A resourceful region
It has been a place where, for many years, we have recharged our batteries, and then one day, at the bend of a path; we found a place, an atmosphere, a thrill, by the look of it, it was obvious: this is it.
This is the place we've been longing for for years, as to where to set up a guest house, a slightly crazy dream that's been in the back of our minds for a long time. Belgium had never offered us this place, and it's not for a lack of searching. Sardinia, on the other hand ... it's a come-back to our roots, to the source.
"There are no coincidences, there are meeting points", and on that day it was an appointment with life.
We wondered on whether to leave straight away, or wait a little longer. We went through a few hesitations, clarifications. A few reflections later, the decision was made: we were going to settle there.
What started out as a guest house became a much wider project, a philosophy, a need to be part of a movement that puts life at the centre of everything, a project of the heart. The location lends itself perfectly to this project: calm, nature, the sea and the mountains, surrounding a place that has been abandoned for years.
And what if we gave it a new glimpse of life and let it express its full potential, after all, maybe that's all it needs?
